Underestimate
somewhere
there’s a girl at a park
who laughs as she makes snow angels
who dances as the flakes flutter
and her smile is formed
from the knowledge that someone
somewhere
loves her just the way she is
and there is power in that smile
someplace
there’s a boy on a bike
who races with the wind
who jumps a ramp made of old boards
and his joy is formed
from a confidence that someone
someplace
loves him just the way he is
and there is majesty in that joy
everywhere
there are people living life
who forget to laugh
who forget to dance
who forget to feel the wind on their face
as they jump the ramps of life
and they underestimate
the love
that He has for us, right here, right now
just the way we are

Was asked the other day if I had a piece for Christmas. I don’t normally write during this season, but I had a few spare minutes last night and put this together. Not really a Christmas piece, but it embodies some of the feeling of the season, namely that God loved us so much that he sent his son.

love it
So sweet and precious to know that we are loved – just the way we are – - Sorry about those who do not yet know and understand that LOVE>
Yes, to be loved just the way we are is such a gracious gift, isn’t it? Thanks.
Wow….this is perfect in so many ways! So captures the heart of the season AND of this life….I was THERE “with you” in ever line! Just beautiful!
It’s an awesome piece, Robert. Yes, to know that we are loved….
Thank you! What a way to start off my day! Merry Christmas!
